Last Night at the Lobster by Stewart O'Nan

Last Night at the LobsterLast Night at the Lobster by Stewart O'Nan
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The only reason I kept reading was because I was sure something was going to happen to make it interesting. Unfortunately, I got to the end without anything notable happening. The character development was good, so it kept me just enough interested to finish the book. That is the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

Bright Lights, Big Ass by Jen Lancaster

Bright Lights, Big Ass: A Self-Indulgent, Surly, Ex-Sorority Girl's Guide to Why it Often Sucks in the City, or Who are These Idiots and Why Do They All Live Next Door to Me?Bright Lights, Big Ass: A Self-Indulgent, Surly, Ex-Sorority Girl's Guide to Why it Often Sucks in the City, or Who are These Idiots and Why Do They All Live Next Door to Me? by Jen Lancaster
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

If you are looking for some short cute anecdotes, then go for it. It has a Shopaholic feel to it without the supporting story line. If you are from Chicago then you may get some added local flavor that might be enjoyable.

Would you try another book from Jen Lancaster and/or Jamie Heinlein?
Not sure. I really liked the humor and the writing style, but it really lacked a followable story line.
